Amarjit (Amy) Sidhu

Amy is project manager of a BME Young Persons Hostel that offers a BME mother and baby unit and supported accommodation for people with mental health problems in Lozells, Birmingham.

She has also worked as: a project manager for supported accommodation in Tipton; temporary project manager for a Housing Association in Dudley; service manager of the Wolverhampton Mental Health Schemes for Bromford Housing; a volunteer for Rethink, manning their mental health help line for people with enduring mental health problems; a volunteer at Sandwell Advocacy for people with learning difficulties.

Through this work Amy has developed a significant level of expertise on issues of equality, housing and mental health in particular and the link between them.
