Amir KabalAmir is Director of East Staffordshire Racial Equality Council, Chairman of Race Equality West Midlands, National Learning and Skills Council – Equality and Diversity Committee member, Governor of Burton College, chair of the College’s Equality and Diversity Sub committee, and a member of their standards and Audit committee. He is also presiding magistrate with South East Staffordshire bench and member of the Lord Chancellor’s county Advisory committee. Amir has extensive knowledge of ‘race’ equality issues in the region, and has a proven track record of project management in this area. He has established a multi-agency forum known as ‘Partnership Against Crimes of Hate’ (PACH) to provide co-ordinated service to victims of hate crimes in the Trent Valley region. There are now over 20 statutory organisations involved in this forum. This has also been recognised as best practice by the Commission for Racial Equality nationally.
