Yasmin Akhtar

Yasmin is Director of Go-Woman! which publishes a regional magazine geared towards women and enterprise. She is involved in number of projects including ‘Young Entrepreneurs Project’, which works with girls from minority ethnic communities to build confidence, team building and enterprise skills.

Yasmin was one of the 12 women on the Regional Forum for Supporting Women’s Enterprise who developed the strategic policy for women’s enterprise for the West Midlands Region.

She also serves as a LEA governor at her local nursery. Since December 2006, after being in position for 18 months, Yasmin was appointed as a chair and is currently serving that term.
